On this #GivingTuesday, we invite you to join us in supporting the International Journal of Medical Students (IJMS), a diamond open-access journal that has been publishing uninterruptedly since 2013. After a decade, the IJMS is still deeply committed to supporting its authors and readers in distinctive and innovative ways. Here are some key highlights about the top Journal for medical students of the world:

Uninterrupted Publication Since 2013: The IJMS has been dedicated to providing a platform for medical students and recently graduated physicians (<3 years into practice) to publish their original research and experiences, contributing to the continuous advancement of medical knowledge. The IJMS h-index is 20 and we are applying for full indexation in PubMed. 

  2. Diamond Open-Access: We are proud to be a diamond open-access journal, which means we do not charge authors any article processing charges (APC) and provide free access to our content for readers worldwide.

  3. Training Future Medical Editors: Annually, we train more than 60 medical students from around the globe, nurturing them to become the next generation of medical editors. This initiative aims to empower and educate aspiring editors, ensuring the highest standards in medical publishing.

  4. Member of COPE: As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), we adhere to the highest ethical standards in publishing, reinforcing our commitment to transparency, integrity, and responsible editorial practices.

  5. Published by the University of Pittsburgh Library System: The IJMS is published by the University of Pittsburgh Library System, emphasizing our academic rigor and commitment to excellence in scholarly publishing.

  6. World Conference of Medical Students Research (WCMSR): In addition to our journal, we have established the WCMSR, providing a global platform for medical students worldwide to showcase their research on an international stage. LEarn about the WCMSR's previous editions here.
